Silken tofu is a fantastic ingredient that is light, smooth, and cooling; perfect for a refreshing salad! In this dish we pair silken tofu along with pine nuts (that moisten rehydrate our intestines and skin), cilantro (that helps with digestion), and seaweed that removes phlegm and and water retention. This salad is a wonderful dish to have all year around. It is super simple to make and goes well with heavier dishes to balance out your meal out!
Cooling and Balancing Silk Tofu Salad
16oz soft tofu
1oz pine nuts
1oz chopped cliantro
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
Lullaby Calming Culinary TCM Tonic Bag
3/4 cup water
Place the Lullaby Calming Culinary TCM Tonic Bag in water and boil for 5-10 minutes to make the tonic water.
Add seaweed, tonic water, and soy sauce to a small pot, boil on low heat until the seaweed is completely soft and 1/2 of the water has evaporated.
Break the tofu with a fork and add all other ingredients. Mix well. Season to taste.
