This recipe is great all year long, but especially in the Spring, after emerging from the Winter months. The milk is slightly sweet, and the mochi is chewy and naturally gluten-free! Goji berry is sweet in flavor to facilitate the Liver in regulating free-flow of Qi throughout the body and chrysanthemum is mildly cooling in energetic temperature. The flower can gently clear some of the heat built up over the slower, more stagnant winter months.

1 tbsp goji berry powder * 枸杞粉
Small dish of warm water 暖水
Iced water 冰水
*You can blend soaked goji with water too if you don’t have goji powder.

1/2 Liver Care Culinary TCM Tonic Bag (option to use 1 tbsp chrysanthemum)
2 cups of non-dairy milk 牛奶或植物奶
½ cup of non-dairy half and half 淡奶油或植物淡奶油
Sweetener of choice 甜味剂（自选）
Clean tea bag or herbal sachet
In a bowl, mix the sweet rice flour and goji berry powder. Slowly add in a bit of the warm water or nut milk to form a dough.
Shape the dough into balls, drop them in boiling water until they are cooked through. Once done, immediately shock with iced water.
Place the content of half of our Liver Care Tonic Bag in a clean tea bag.
In a pot, boil bagged chrysanthemum, soaked goji berry, and milk. Bring to a boil and steep for 5 minutes. Take out the bag of chrysanthemum.
In a blender, blend boiled milk (with goji berry in it), half and half, and sweetener of choice until well combined and a layer of foam forms.
String the mochi balls onto the bamboo sticks and serve with the herbal milk.
