This is a yin-nourishing, hydrating pork rib broth that benefits the lungs. It is suitable for all seasons, but we recommend you to consume this soup in autumn and winter. It tastes slightly sweet without any herby or bitter tastes.

Soak snow fungus and coix seeds for 10~15 minutes
While the dried ingredients are soaking, roughly dice up your vegetables.
Bring a small to medium pot of water to a boil. Blanch the pork rib in the water for 1-2 minutes. As scum appears, remove it. The pork doesn’t have to be cooked through. We are merely removing impurities.
After the pork rib is finished blanching, place it along with all the ingredients and Throat Soothing Culinary TCM Tonic Bag 清喉药膳包 into another pot and add enough water to cover.
Bring to boil and turn the heat to low heat to simmer for 2 to 2.5 hours.
Turn off the fire.
Add salt or miso to taste.
