Herbal Steamed Egg with Soy-Ginger Sauce
1 bag Superwomen Tonic
1 cup hot water
6 tbsp soy sauce
4 ½ tbsp ginger, minced
3 tbsp scallion, minced
3 tbsp chives, minced
1 tbsp sesame oil
Bring large pot of water to boil. This pot should comfortably fit a smaller steaming vessel. Meanwhile, in a separate cup, steep Superwoman Tonic Bag in hot water for 5 minutes. Discard or reuse bag after steeping and set aside the water.
Whisk 5 eggs until well combined and add the same volume of water, about 1 cup. The ratio of egg to water should be 1:1.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve, making sure not to create too many bubbles. This ensures a smoother texture.
Steam for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together ginger, scallion, chive, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl and set aside.
Remove from heat and serve topped with sauce mix.
