Ingredients
Superwomen Culinary TCM Tonic Bag 气血女人药膳包
3-4 cups of water or nut milk 水或植物奶
2 tbsp Rose Petals 玫瑰花瓣
6-8 Jujube Dates 大枣
2 tbsp Goji Berries 枸杞
1 tbsp Osmanthus Flower 桂花
1/3 cup Five Seasons TCM 10 Multigrain Rice and Porridge Mix 混合谷物 (or other mixed grains)
1/3 cup purple rice (or regular rice/brown rice)
Brown sugar or molasses cubes to taste 红糖/糖浆
Directions
Pre-soak the mixed grains and purple rice for at least 2-3 hours in filtered water.
In a pot, add 3-4 cups water and the tonic bag and bring to a boil. Turn down heat to medium and simmer. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook till porridge thickens as the grains become softer. Adjust the amount of liquid to achieve desired consistency.
Once the grains are soft, remove the tonic bag, add brown sugar to taste. Serve warm!
Store the leftover porridge in a refrigerator or freezer. Before serving, reheat on stove by adding some more liquid and maybe fresh fruit of choice.
