Sweet-savory Herbal Stewed Chestnuts
1 Flu Protection Culinary TCM Tonic Bag
2/3 cup of water
1 tbsp coconut sugar/brown sugar, or to taste
1 tbsp soy sauce
Chestnuts, cooked and peeled
1 tbsp dried osmanthus flower, prepare extra for garnish
In a pot, boil the flu protection tonic with 2/3 cup of water.
After it boils, add coconut sugar/brown sugar and soy sauce.
Mix it well and add cooked chestnuts and dried osmanthus flower.
Let it simmer until the sauce thickens, add more sugar according to your taste.
After the sauce thickens, put the chestnuts in a serving plate with the sauce and garnish it with the osmanthus flower. Enjoy!
