Whenever I feel dryness in my throat, along with heat or heated symptoms like hot flush, mouth sores, or itchy, red skin, I take out my rice cooker to make this recipe. When cooked, aloe and snow fungus have this amazingly tender and juicy texture that always makes my throat feel better. It is a one pot dish you can make easily. Try it out!

Aloe and Snow Fungus Stew for the Lung | 润肺芦荟银耳百合糖水
1/3 pc of Five Seasons TCM Dried Snow Fungus
2 tbsp fresh lily bulb (or 1/3 cup chopped pear)
Sweetener, to taste
1 tsp osmanthus flower
Optional: 1 Throat Soothing Culinary TCM Tonic Bag
Break a piece of dried snow fungus into 3 parts. Take one and soak in hot water for 15 minutes.
Break the soacked snow fungus into smaller pieces and take out the hard/yellow root part.
In a pot, add 2 cups of water and 1 cup of alo drink aloe juice, the soaked snow fungus pieces, lily bulb or pear, and osmanthus. Stew with lid covered for 30-45 minutes, until it becomes very soft and slightly sticky.
Option to add 1 Throat Soothing Culinary TCM Tonic Bag in the first 15 minutes of cooking.
Add sweetener of choice, to taste.
Add the rest of the aloe juice to the mixture when serving.
