While the recent “celery juice diet” trend has made celery a superstar, celery has been praised and used for a long, long time in cuisines all over the world. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), celery is a cooling-cold vegetable that is great for the liver system. By combining ginger with celery, we neutralize the energetics of celery juice (which is cooling) to make it easier on the stomach and suitable for even colder weather. The addition of sparkling water and lemon makes the juice more palatable for those who don’t like the taste of celery.

2 hearts of celery 芹菜心
Juice of 1/2 a lemon 柠檬汁
Elix Healing’s “Ginger Aide” Elix 姜汁
1 cup of sparkling water 气泡水
Option to add stevia, monk fruit, or some green apple juice for sweetness 甜叶菊 罗汉果/ 青苹果汁
Use a juicer (preferably a slow juicer) to juice the celery. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix and enjoy at room temperature!
